National Geographic: The world’s best destinations for 2022, according to National Geographic


National geographical unveils its annual list of must-see destinations for this year 2022 for tourists to venture to travel the world, reviewing inspiring places, communities and experiences. Through this list, National Geographic rethinks what it means to be a traveler and the impact of decisions made while traveling, engaging in the travel stories that illuminate the Earth and the diversity of the communities and people who call it home.

The 2022 selection is classified into five categories: Nature, Adventure, Culture, Sustainability and Familyand celebrates national parks and wildlife, outdoor activities and experiences, eco-friendly travel and destinations, and multi-generational travel and destinations.

From “the next great safari destination” on the Caprivi Strip (Namibia) and the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on the east coast of Maryland, to the ancient Tea Mountains and traditions of Yunnan (China), this year’s list reminds us that there are still many things that can inspire travelers.

In addition, this year’s list celebrates the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention of the UNESCOincluding 10 places designated as World Heritage Sites by this organization.
